Bangkok, the capital of the Kingdom of Thailand, is one of the larger cities in the world, with maybe twelve million bustling (and friendly) people. More if the surrounding regions are included. It is administered by an elected mayor and a legislature. The city hall building is located somewhere near the amorphous 'centre' of Bangkok, not that Bangkok has a single centre.
Above the entrance way to the city hall is a large digital clock. This clock is visible across the long paved area in front of the hall, and out into the main street.
