This appears to be plain carved oak that has silvered nicely. It features a train, an aeroplane, a mill, a pair of ducks, a rather medieval looking man fishing and some rather 'Willy Wonka' looking trees.

The mill.
St Albans Museum currently has the custody of a J R Dunning painting (1895) featuring the mill.

Fishing.
In addition to the River Ver as it meanders by Park Street, there is a commercial fishing lake at Frogmore just upstream. This is an old gravel pit.
