The horse trough has an inscription which reads:
'Erected by "Our Dumb Friends' League"
To the memory of Mrs Charles Langton
of "Eastwood" Bournemouth.
1911.'

The trough is a red stone design with large pillar supports. It is beside the wall in the seating area of the Peacocks Tearooms.
