The plaque is dedicated to George Rogers Clark and his troops who conquered the British at Vincennes, Indiana.
The Vinsans Trace Chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution did mark this project for the bicentennial.

The plaque is placed upon a granite block that measures approximately
24inches high by 36 inches long by 24 inches wide.

The inscription is as follows:
George Rogers Clark's conquest of the
Northwest was one of the most heroic
Chapters of the Revolution.
En route to Vincennes from Kaskaskia
Clsrk's troops followed a trail from the
Present sitr of Xenia to Lawerenceville
That was almost exactly the present
Route of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad
Clark and his men passed over this very
Area. In their arduous journey that ended
With their captur of Vincennes late in
Febuary, 1779
