When the Zippy cartoon was created for this site the diner was called the Yankee Diner and it was attached to the Farina Family Restaurant. It closed in 2006 but was reopened a short time later as the Farmers Diner.

The diner is an authentic Worcester diner (#787) from 1946. The diner was originally called the Ross Diner and was located in Holyoke, Massachusetts, the Ross Diner close in 1990. The diner car was moved to West Lebanon, New Hampshire in 1991, however the plans for that location fell through and it was moved to the current location in 1992 and became the Yankee Diner.   The history of the diner is from this website.
