The memorial is of a standing male figure attired as a Confederate soldier standing on a medium pedestal. The soldier holds a rifle by its barrel with its butt on the ground between his feet. He is wearing a broad brim hat, a coat and trousers typical of the Confederate soldiers of the Civil War. Over his back he has a rolled bedroll.
The pedestal has a Confederate flag and is further inscribed:
