The Short-Dodson House also known as the Watson house was built beginning in 1901 and completed in 1902. The house is in a Queen Anne style with a stone faced turret in its corner. The house in general is in good repair though in need of some maintenance.

The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
