President Clinton was born in Hope, Arkansas and moved Hot Springs in 1953 as a second grader. He moved into this house the following year and lived in this house from 1954 to 1961.

The house at 1011 Park Avenue was built 1896-1900 as Queen Anne style house; it was remodeled in 1938 to a Tudor Revival appearance.

The house is a private home and is not open for tours. There are signs in the yard giving this restriction.

The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
