This small, gray, marble block is on the block and bears the inscription:
Vietnam War Memorial
1958 - 1975
In Honor of Those Who Served
Dedicated May 28, 1990
There is a matching Korean War memorial across the concrete. In the middle of these two is a much larger, non-specific war memorial, with two plaques for the two men the VFW is named after, William Tait and William Raws, two KIAs of World War II.
The post is housed in a pleasant brick building on a large lot surrounded by homes. It is sort of secluded, located at the end of a street. Through various projects the post remembers the community, veterans, hospital and the Post home. The Raws-Tait VFW Post # 7334, Kennedy Boulevard and Somerdale Road, is named in part for William C. Tait who died on July 9, 1944 in Normandy when a mine he was attempting to defuse exploded, killing him and the other part of the name, for William Raws who was killed in action in the fighting off the coast of Sicily on July 16, 1943.
