This superb carved bench is created from oak and lies in the woodland of Campton Plantation.

The owl's wings outstretch to form the back-rest of the bench whilst its claws divide the seats. The following inscription can be read: 'Here rest your wings when they are weary'. Swirls are carved onto the ends of the bench.
The sculptures in this woodland were commissioned to Peter Leadbeater and Dick Tilley. The carvings are intricate and detailed. Please see the full story on: visit link
