This great replica of the Statue of Liberty is located on shores of Lake Superior in Duluth, MN. It is located in a nice walking area, (in the summer) on the west side of the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center and new Amsoil Arena. It is also near the Great Lakes Aquariam. It is in a small grassy area with some nice pine trees but is also easy to miss. I have been to this area countless times and have never seen it until this trip, when I attended a conference at the DECC.
The statue was given to the city of Duluth by descendents of the original designer of the original Statue of Liberty located in New York Harbor, Bartholdi. The descendents lived in the Duluth MN area.
There is a plaque that has the words of Emma Lazarus, who penned the "New Colossus" on the New York Liberty. There is also an inscription on the back side of the statue but due to the snow and ice I couldn't get that but will do so this summer.
Location: Duluth MN Lakefront
 Pedestal?: No
