The Ye Olde Hurdy Gurdy Museum of Vintage Radio oppened in 2003
Pat Herbert is the curator, and his collection of old radios, music
boxes, gramophones and other related items are on exhibit. Pat has been collecting for forty years and takes great pride and pleasure in showing visitors around this gem of a museum.
The museum first opened in 2003.
Pat maintains the museum as a labour of love. It is not run as a commercial enterprise.
The Martello tower in Howth is one of a network of similar towers built around the coastline of Ireland. It was completed about 1805. The towers were modelled on the small fortified tower at Mortello Point in Corsica.
