O monumento foi inaugurado pelo presidente da câmara de
Guimarães António Magalhães
Na base da estatua diz:
Homenagem do Núcleo de Guimarães da Associação de Escoteiros de Portugal em 22.02.1998 ao fundador Robert Baden-Powell.
No chão junto a estátua existem duas pedras com inscrições
Na da direita diz:
Esta escultura foi inaugurada pelo presidente da câmara de Guimarães António Magalhães em 22.2.1998

[EN] This monument is located in the park surrounding the stadium D. Afonso Henriques and is a tribute the nucleus of Guimarães of the
Associação de Escoteiros de Portugal (One of two major national associations of Scouts ) on 22.02.1998 to founder Robert Baden-Powell.
The monument was inaugurated by the Mayor of
Guimarães António Magalhães.
At the base of the statue reads:
Homage of the Nucleus of Guimaraes of the Scout Association of Portugal in 02/22/1998 to the founder Robert Baden-Powell.
On the floor beside the statue there are two stones with inscriptions.
On the Right says:
The monument was inaugurated by the Mayor of Guimarães António Magalhães in 22.2.1998
On the left says:
