This carousel is enclosed, more for security than to protect it from the elements. It is a full-size carousel with ornate decoration and elaborate animals and gondolas.
At the time of visit it was not running, and there were no hours or prices posted. Although the nearby mall seemed busy, there were very few people out on the Esplanade which tends to come alive after dark.
Also on this plaza is a dancing fountain, sculptures, eating places, and it is also the site of the dramatic Pyro Olympics featuring some of the best firework displays in the world.
