Separate doors at the gymnasium entrance were used for the boys and girls attending St. Joseph Catholic School. The boys’ entrance is pictured here; the girls’ entrance has been covered after recent remodeling. The doorway is found at the corner of Maple Ave. and Hale Street.
The present brick building that houses St. Joseph Catholic School was built in 1922. It was attached to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, now part of Holy Family Parish, and included six classrooms and a gymnasium/auditorium.
