On display on the Champlain Trail Museum building, this mural was drawn by the artist Karole Marois in 2008. The mural measures 26.8 meters by 3.7 meters.
This mural depicts the Pioneers that settled in Pembroke and the hardships they endured. Illustrated are lumber men sawing wood, men collecting lumber for the preparationg for curring mills, livestock being used to operate stump pullers and a mother and child collecting berries. The whole setting reflects the ruggedness of the terrain and illustrates the hardships that pioneers had to endure.
