The Smithsonian Inventory description (
visit link) of this sculpture entitled "Large Four Piece Reclining Figure" envisions it's four pieces as different body parts. "Four smooth, curving pieces of bronze resembling a head, breast and shoulders, thighs, and bent legs are placed together on a rectangular base in a loose, figurative form."
but that seems to be very subjective ...or insightful. To a more casual viewer, the four figures are much more globular. Nevertheless, it is an attractive piece. The artist, Henry Moore, (1898-1986) was British and this piece is similar to many of his other pieces...although, most of those pictured on this Wikipedia page (
visit link) DO seem to resemble body parts more than this work.
This piece is outside the Davies Symphony Hall.
