Known as the Butterfly House in English, house No. 6 was one of the first buildings to use Portland cement in its brick foundation, which was laid in 1852. Each of the two stories of this board-and-batten house was divided into two rooms. The home was built without indoor plumbing. Frank Bohlman, owner of the local livery stable and the mine company's sole contractor for running supply wagons on Mine Hill, rented the cabin in 1878.
