This Celtic cross memorial stands in the village of Harlington.

The memorial was built by Martin William Dove who was from Harlington and served with the 2nd Battalion, Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Regiment in World War II. He was an active Royal British Legion member and died in 1969 after battling illness contracted from poisoned water in Italy in 1944.

The inscription reads:
'1914 – 1919

TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN LOVING MEMORY
OF THE MEN OF HARLINGTON
WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE IN THE GREAT WAR

TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO SERVED IN THE WAR 1939 – 1945'
