Oklahoma City's Chesapeake Energy Arena (formerly called the Ford Center) is where the OKC Thunder play their basketball games. The OKC Thunder (formerly Seattle SuperSonics) moved to Oklahoma for the 2008/09 season. Other teams that have used this facility are the OKC Yard Dawgz (Arena Football), OKC Blazers (Ice Hockey), and after Katrina the New Orleans Hornets.
The Chesapeake Energy Arena opened in 2002, cost $89 million, and has a capacity of over 18,000 guests for basketball games. However, Thunder fans who cannot get a seat in the arena to watch the game in person can go to Thunder Alley across the street and watch the performance on the Giant Jumbotron. *not available during the NBA Finals
