The Pub is 17th Century and until the railway came to Chesham, it was the main boarding point for all public transport in the town.

The sign itself looks very old and battered, the pub is due for refurbishment so the sign may be replaced soon.

It depicts St. George on a white horse slaying the green dragon at his feet.
