Collin Rosebrook is an internationally known ceramic/artisan sculptor who owns Paseo Pottery at 3017 Paseo. He maintains a full schedule of art classes, sells ceramic art supplies and maintains his studio and gallery.
Approximately twenty-five feet south of the business, in a curbside landscaped area stands this kinetic sculpture
It stands approximately eight feet high, on a flat circular metal plate. A flat steel band approximately four inches wide, shaped into an oval, rises from the plate. Mounted on a center rod are seven metal balls, increasing in size from the bottom up, from about three inches in diameter to about ten inches.
Attached to a slender rod above these are seven flat steel figures he calls "Windies," beginning with the largest and gradually becoming smaller to the top. Metal semi-circular "cups" are attached to each figure's hands and feet (four each). These cups catch the wind and cause the Windies to spin, individually.
The artist's name "Rosebrook" is written on the base with a weld bead.
