Lysec is notable peak in Velka Fatra mountains (northern Slovakia), aside of the main crest. Thanks to its position it is often called "a view-tower of Velka Fatra".

Lysec is notable peak in Velka Fatra mountains (northern Slovakia), aside of the main crest.
Thanks to its position it is often called "a view-tower of Velka Fatra".
The summit reaches altitude of 1381 metres (4531ft) and usually is being hiked from east - challet Lysec in Jasenska valley or from Belianska valley. Ascent to the peak-top takes approximately 2-3 hours with total length 4km and elevation 800m.

Lysec je vyznacny vrchol Velkej Fatry, tyciaci sa nad Turcom stranou od hlavneho hrebena pohoria.
Vdaka tejto polohe je castou oznacovany ako "rozhladna Velkej Fatry".
Jeho lysy vrchol cnie do vysky 1381 metrov nad morom. Obvykle vystupove trasy vedu od vychodu - bud od chaty Lysec z Jasenskej doliny, pripradne z Belianskej doliny. Trasy sa spajaju a vedu chvilku ponad zjazdovky, lesom a napokon kilometer dlhou odlesnenou stranou, ktora dala tomuto krasnemu kopcu meno.
