Montgomery Wards - Coeur d'Alene, ID - Ghost Signs on Waymarking.com

You can still make out where "Montgomery" was painted horizontally across the top of the building (located in the back of building.) Later "Wards" was painted going vertically down the side. The signs are now partically covered by the attached signs of an antigue store, which is also now a former occupant of this old brick building.

My mother, Carol Martin, worked at this Montgomery Wards location in the late 1960's. Somewhere around 1967 this store was relocated to the new Coeur d'Alene mall. That location closed in the late 1990s.
