This neon sign is located at 1015 N. Broadway, one of several in an area of town known as Automobile Alley. In 1910, this part of town was set aside for commercial business, and automobile dealerships, service and parts companies began moving in. These businesses thrived through the 1930s. Once again, this area is active and thriving. Renovation has brought these buildings back to life.
This is a double-sided neon sign with yellow and blue neon. A red oval is outlined with yellow neon, and contains the word "BICYCLE." The C's in the word are in blue neon and form the wheels of a bicycle. The word ALLEY is shown in yellow on the oval perimeter. Below this an outline of blue surrounds three yellow stripes.
