American Saddle Horse Museum is part of Graceland in Mexico MO.
The museum has an extensive collection of artifacts and information. Mexico was once considered the "Saddlebred Horse Capital of the World".
The museum features presentations on Tom Bass (a famous black horseman), George Ford Morris, Art Simmons (a local trainer) and Callaway Hills stallion, Will Shriver. The famous Saddlebred Horse, Rex McDonald, is buried on the grounds.
(note the entry fee includes a tour of the Graceland home and estate along with the Fire Brick Museum, a country church and school.)
Days and Hours of Operation: Tuesday to Saturday 10 to 4 and Sundays 1 to 4 PM.
