The first depot was built here in 1853, at the junction of the Milwaukee and Mississippi Railroad and the Milwaukee, Watertown & Baraboo Valley Railroad. The present depot was built in 1867. Today, both tracks are owned and operated by the Canadian Pacific Railway.
