Alcoholics Anonymous was formed in 1935 by Dr. Holbrook as he left behind the alcohol he had used to steady himself for surgery. Until his death in 1950, Dr. Bob is credited with helping over 5000 alcoholics work to overcome their addiction. Today, AA claims more than 2 million members. There are laminated signs directing visitors from the cemetery entrance to the row of the grave.
