A small plane crashed near the South Valley Regional Airport in West Jordan on June 26, 2010, killing the pilot.
The plane flew advertising banners over Salt Lake Bees baseball games and was taking off to fly a Saturday night game around 5 p.m. when it crashed. The banner landed not far from the crash site.
West Jordan police Lt. Dan Gallagher said it appears mechanical problems may have contributed to the crash.
