The New Zion Cemetery is located southeast of Chandler, or southwest of Davenport. From Chandler, take Route 66 east four miles to 3480 Road, then south 1.5 miles. From Davenport, take Route 66 2 miles west, then south on 3480 Road 1.5 miles. The church and cemetery are on the west side of the road.

The cemetery entrance sign shows the dates of 1892 and 1917. The oldest burial here is Bettie D. Bradshaw who was buried in 1892. The cemetery is well maintained, even though the church and park seem to be abandoned. The cemetery and church have a chain link fence which was found locked. There are approximately 1320 burials here.

The rock church south of the cemetery is dated 1937 and appears vacant. Across the road on the east side is a park with a granite marker in the ground reading: "FORBIS PARK / Donated to New Zion Cemetery by the family of Charlie and Georgia Forbis." The park had quite a few picnic tables, but all that remained were the metal pipe frames, with no seats or table tops. Two outdoor privies were located in the park.
