This life-sized sculpture of an extinct bird has an accompanying placard which reads:
"Extinct Daggertt's Eagle
Also known as the 'long-legged eagle', this
predator was actually a hawk, not an eagle.
Its behavior was similar to Africa's secretary
bird, hunting and feeding on reptiles,
amphibians, and similar mammals that could
be swallowed whole.
