DePrato has 5 dome-shaped mounds, 3 of which are clearly seen from the road. Flooding hs covered the ground and lower portions of the mounds with 2 1/2 feet of sediment. thus the mounds appear smaller than their true height of 5-6 feet. Radicarbon dates and decorated pottery suggest Indians built the mounds around AD 600.
