Bosse Field is a historic baseball stadium in Evansville, IN. Bosse is the third oldest stadium being used regularly for baseball in the United States (behind Wrigley Field and Fenway Park. It was built in 1915.
Bosse Field is home to the Evansville Otters, a independent minor league team with no affiliation with Major League Baseball. The Otters are a member of the Frontier League. The field is the former home to minor league teams associated with the Minnesota Twins, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Braves, Boston Braves, and Chicago White Sox.
Some of the former players in the stadium include Hall of Famers Warren Spahn, Hank Greenburg, Chuck Klein, Edd Roush, and Sam Thompson. Don Mattingly, Andy Benes, Alan Benes, Jamey Carroll and Preston Mattingly all played high school baseball at Bosse Field.
The movie, "A League of Their Own" was partial shot at Bosse Field, being the home field Racine Belles in the movie.
