The Madison Elk Herd - Flora and Fauna Information Signs on Waymarking.com

This is a point on the highway from West Yellowstone into Yellowstone park where you can observe the Madison Elk Herd. The coords for this waymark are at the location of the NPS Information panel pictured. This panel talks about the area from an elk's point of view and is very informative. The panel also notes that this particular herd does not migrate seasonally so you are more likely to see elk here than any other location in the park.

This is a beautiful location and well worth the stop.
