This property addressed as 1305-1313 in the nomination, is actually two separate buildings, however, they have been so closely associated through the years, that they are considered as one for the Registry purposes. It was added to the National Register in 2005 (#05001001).

The north building, constructed in 1922, once housed the Sieber Grocery This is an L-shaped, two-story red brick building with double hung windows on the second level and two store fronts on the first. The storefronts have been renovated and have aluminum-framed doors and windows with transoms. They are vacant at the moment, but appear available for occupancy.

The second floor of this building was once the owner's apartment, and also contained a community room that was used for things like lectures and dance lessons until 1942. It was later renovated into apartments. The first floor was the Sieber Grocery and at the rear, he operated a meat processing plant. The wholesale meat business ended in 1943 when meat was not readily available to support the business.

The south building, constructed in 1928 is a six-story, U-shaped apartment hotel with wood-framed one-over-one and two-over-two double hung windows with cast stone sills. The building has brown brick on the first level, and red brick on the upper levels, with a concrete foundation. The hotel building has decorative work consisting of cast stone detaioling on the first level and roofline. The main entrance has an elaborate cast stone entrance surround. The entrance originally was recessed in the U-shape, but somewhere around 1933 the entrance was brought flush with the facade. Cast stone corner detail and stone diamonds in the upper level add visual interest. There is a small pediment at the roofline of both sides of the east facade.

Originally, the south entrance led to a restaurant, and the north entrance served as an entrance to a beauty shop and dry cleaners on the premises.

The two buildings have a three foot walkway between them, but they are connected underground by a tunnel. At the time of Registration in 2005, the buildings had stood vacant for twenty years and were boarded up on the lower level. Today, however, the Sieber Apartment Hotel is owned by the granddaughter of the owner from the 1930s-1950s. After a complete renovation of electric, plumbing, heating and air, flooring, tile, instead of a simple hotel in 2006, it now houses 38 elegant city apartments. There is room also for a restaurant and shops on the first floor. This link will highlight the ammenities of this building today: (visit link)
