Located on the frontage road near exit 40 off I-20, this very small zoo is open from 9 to 5 daily. With several buffalo, monkeys, elands and a few other animals, it is definitely a small town zoo.
There was a vote in 2009 whether or not to close the zoo because of the severe economic climate of the area, with 52% of the voters favoring keeping the zoo open. While in no way a destination place, it does give the people of the area an opportunity to see some animals they normally wouldn't.
