This sycamore tree is growing around a board that once contained information about sycamores.
The Toledo Metroparks had a program called the Naturalist Scout Project. Certain trees had information markers placed on them, which were made of construction paper stapled to a 6" x 12" board. The board was attached to the tree. The paper on most of the markers have been removed, but the back boards remain. It is this back board the tree is growing around.
The tree is located on the part of the Orange Trail the parallels the river.
