This median project features a large composition of 20’ high kinetic steel prairie grass forms combined with calligraphic swirls depicting wind currents. The artist, Erick Johnson of Fort Collins, Colorado, states his inspiration is found in two dynamic characteristics of the Stapleton [neighborhood] site: the wind currents that move down from the Rockies onto the Front Range and their play with and among its tall prairie grasses. This artwork spans two medians and now defines the southern entry to the Stapleton development. Johnson was awarded a $150,000 commission for this piece. (from (visit link) )

There is an extension to the piece just a block east at N39° 44.968, W104° 53.201. Both of these pieces are on a large traffic median, so this is not really a good place for children.
