This building is just outside the entrance to the oldest part of Bradford. After the industrial started Bradford started to expand rapidly, and with expansion came wealth. There are a number of buildings in this area that were once banks and are no longer. There is one that’s now an Indian restaurant, and at least three that became pubs.
This pub, and the one in the old Yorkshire Penny Bank have now closed. The only one left that used to be a pub is the aptly named city vaults.
As is the case in many other cities a number of other nearby pubs have recently closed.
This pub used to be called the Hogs Head and prior to that the Admiral Nelson.
