The Parkdale Globe designed by Halifax artist Peter Dykhuis. During the spring through fall seasons, a gentle fountain flows over the surface of the globe covering the continents and is illuminated from within. Erected in November of 2005, the globe is made up of a series of overlapping metal scales that represent the oceans on planet earth.
The monument was placed by the Parkdale Village BIA to honour World Peace.
