The viaduct over the river Rawthey used to carry the Low Gill to Ingleton railway, near Sedbergh in Cumbria. The bridge is off limits as it carries a gas pipeline across the river. Looking east.

The original photograph was taken in the riverbed when the river was very low. The railway line closed in 1966 when Dr Beeching axed the railway network. The line opened in 1861 and relieved the Settle to Carlisle line.
