Mokosh is a Slavic goddess attested in the Primary Chronicle, connected with female activities such as shearing, spinning and weaving.
Village Mokošín is one of the oldest villages in East Bohemia. First written mention about it comes from 1073. It is believed that name of the village is derived from name of Slavonic goddess Mokosh.
