Painted barn quilts are starting to appear on the countryside in Sioux County, IA in the far northwest corner of the state. This great "Spider Web" is painted in John Deere colors and can be found on the south side of the traditional red barn.
This barn quilt is located on Hwy 75 a few miles north of Sioux Center right near the turn-off to Carmel. Don’t miss the neighboring wayside chapel which is also a Waymark; there’s a geocache there as well.
Your Visit: I pass by here at least once a week and never noticed the barn quilts on this road until the other day. I have been searching for the documented ones in other Iowa counties, but never realized there were some in my own neighborhood. Now I’m constantly alert for this facinating country artwork.
Type of Barn: Barn still in use
