This building has had an interesting history. It was designed to be government offices for city officials, fire station, drunk tank, jail, and to house 'hobos' and other 'undesirables' in rooms in the basement (separate from the 'less undesirable' drunks, etc. in the jail space on the first floor). In the 1960's part of the second floor served as offices for the city police department and the rest was the city court/city council chamber.
Current Use: Chamber of Commerce Visitor Information Center
Year Originally Built: 1910
Year Retired: 1973
Is it open to the public?: Yes
Location: Brigham City, Utah
