This simple "hole in the ground" structure of wood and corrugated iron serves the rock climbing community that uses this remote country area. Well placed at one of the car parking spots for a nervous stop-off before attempting a climb!
Location: Froggatt Edge has quickly become one of the biggest and best rock climbing crags in the Waikato region and in New Zealand. A very popular place on a weekend. It is located on a dirt road across a private farm with a sign at the gate, access is free, please close the gates and remove all rubbish. No camping.
The rock formations provide an opportunity for some great photography as well as watching the climbers in action.
