Mile Rock Beach is a small, rugged, and rocky beach near Land's End in San Francisco, California.
The best access is from the parking lot at the end of El Camino Del Mar near the USS San Francisco Memorial. From there, take the Coastal Trail to the cut-off on the Mile Rock Stairway. This railroad tie stairway will lead down to the beach and nearby labyrinth.
From here, the Mile Rock Light House and Point Bonita Lighthouse can be seen out in the Golden Gate.
The day I was there, a tremendous amount of sea foam was resting on the shore, being pushed around by the waves of the surf.
