OC/AT&SF Depot - Chickasha, OK - Train Stations/Depots on Waymarking.com

At the northeast corner of Third Street and Pennsylvania Avenue stands a beautiful two-story painted brick depot. At one time operated by the AT&SF railroad, this depot is now the headquarters of the Chickasha Express Star newspaper, a local daily.

The main entrance, facing Third Street has a projected center bay with a stepped parapet, with stone ornaments on top. The entrance is a double glass door with sidelights and transoms filled. Above this entrance is a tall triple fixed window, four-over-one, with sidelights and multi-paned transom. A similar projected bay is at the center of the trackside elevation.

At each end of both front and back elevations are projected bays with stepped parapets and triple windows on both the first and second floors. Many of the windows on both floors of all elevations have been bricked in. All window openings, as well as the edges of the projected bays have stone label-cut borders which are very ornamental and give this depot a spectacular look.
