This silo is well hidden in the woods and with all the leaves on the trees during the summer I wouldn't have found it.

Yes! there are a lot of Solitary Silo's in Wisconsin. This was a state full of small dairy farms in the 1800's but after the depression and the war (world war II) the small dairy farms gave way to the LARGE MEGA-FARMS. Some of the barns were torn down because there was a market for old barn boards but not for silo's. The silo's are left on there own to remind us of our past.
