This memorial honoring fallen firefighters is located in a plaza next to the Lexington Fire Dept. In this same plaza are a memorial to a German Shepherd service dog, a donated flag pole, a brick border around a tree, brick-lined walkway, and two Grand Lodge plaques.
The memorial is a granite marker, about 6 feet tall, located close to the street so it is highly visible to passers-by. Next to the memorial is the city's fire danger sign.
