At the main entrance of the Grady County courthouse at 326 W. Choctaw Avenue in county seat, Chickasha, stands a green, metal slatted bench with the seal of Oklahoma and the date 1907. The words "Grady County of Oklahoma are positioned around the seal.
With this bench, Grady County is commemorating Oklahoma's 100th anniversary of Statehood. Oklahoma entered the Union on November 16, 1907 as the 46th State (formerly Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory).
